How often should my carpet be cleaned?
We recommend that people with allergies and Asthma clean their drapes and upholstered furniture every 6 months. Vacuuming alone will not do the trick. Professional cleaning is the key to killing dust mites which is the number one cause of allergens in the indoor environment. We recommend cleaning residential carpet with medium traffic area at least once a year.
Note: Carpet protector is strongly recommended as it can prevent many permanent stains, assist in resisting traffic area damage and make future cleaning more effective. Regular foot traffic removes much of the factory protection from your carpet, leaving your carpet unprotected could allow permanent stains, premature wear and cause a lower appearance level. Ask your technician about protector.

I have allergies and am worried if the chemical that you use will bother me ?
The carpet cleaning solutions that we use are environmentally safe and completely non toxic and are safe for people with allergies, children and pets. Rugs and furniture can harbour soil and other contaminates. Properly cleaning your carpet and furniture will remove the built up soil and contaminates to improve indoor air quality and reduce allergens. -
How do I treat spills and stains?

Will my carpets get dirty quicker after I have had them cleaned?
That depends on how your carpets are cleaned. Have you ever tried to remove a stain on your carpet yourself using a product bought from a supermarket only to find it reappear after a few days or weeks?
What is happening here is that you have removed the stain but now because of how some products work you may have contaminated the area with it and this area is now acting as a magnet to any dirt passing over it.
-
Why do stains keep coming backafter I've had my carpet cleaned?
Like all things you get what you pay for and some cleaners over saturate the carpet and the cleaning solution sinks to the backing of the carpet. Overtime the cleaning solution starts to creep back up the fibres which is called (Wick Back) This is the wrong way to clean a carpet. A good carpet cleaner will only treat the fibres and not the backing of the carpet.

Ive been quoted £12 per room by other carpet cleaners, Why are you more expensive?
Like any industry carpet cleaning has its cowboys and scam merchants and you will almost certainly know of someone who has been a victim of them maybe without even realising it at first.
The result is that they will never trust another carpet cleaner and will say to anyone contemplating getting carpets cleaned. All those carpet cleaners are the same, they rip you off. Well I can tell you they are not. If you choose your carpet cleaner on price alone and go for the lowest, you will receive the lowest service. There is a world of difference between good and bad carpet cleaners! NO good carpet cleaner will charge £12 per room.

Is it true that once you have had your carpet/suite cleaned they get dirtier quicker?
-
Will my carpet shrink?
The cleaning technician should inspect the carpet prior to any cleaning taking place. During this inspection any risk of potential shrinkage can be identified and discussed with you. It may be that the carpet fittings are not secure and require correction. Some carpets are more prone to shrinkage and may have to be cleaned by an alternative method but this would be thoroughly discussed with the client before any work proceeds. -
Does the room have to be clear?
No, but it does help if any breakable items (i.e. China, glassware etc.) are removed from the room, including those inside cabinets that will have to be moved. It would also help the technician if small items of furniture are also removed, such as waste paper bins, paper racks etc. The technician will then move the items, clean and put the back in position placing protector pads/fibre blocks beneath the item to prevent staining from loose wood dye or rust from metal studs under the legs transferring onto the carpet. -
Will all the stains come out?
Most marks will come out during the cleaning process. Some of the more difficult dye stains may need some specialist treatment to deal with them. Any success at removing these types of stains is often diminished by home remedies that have already been tried before the technician is called out to deal with them. -
I have black lines all around the edge of my carpet, will they come out?

The areas in front of sofa and armchairs are very dirty; can you get it all out?

I have just bought a steam cleaner can I clean my carpets/upholstery with it?
Although these steam machines are often advertised as suitable for cleaning carpets and soft furnishings BE CAREFUL! The twist in a cut pile carpet is heat set and using excessively high heat (steam) can release the twist in the pile giving the carpet a felt like appearance. The use of these units on velvet pile fabrics will result in severe distortion damage.
